Nestled in the heart of Auburn, Washington, Canter-Berry Farms is a historic farm destination proudly owned by Wakulima USA, a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening communities through agriculture, opportunity, and connection to the land.
Rooted in more than 150 years of Auburn Valley farming heritage, Canter-Berry Farms invites visitors to experience the simple joy of farm life. During blueberry season, stroll through our fields, pick your own fresh berries, and take in beautiful views of Mount Rainier and the Pacific Northwest.

In 1983, Canter-Berry Farms' handcrafted blueberry products became a favorite at Seattle's Pike Place Market, earning a reputation for their quality and authentic blueberry flavor. Today, the farm continues to grow those same premium blueberries, welcoming visitors to enjoy U-pick during the summer season and shop a selection of blueberry products in the farm store.
Explore Our History
Originally homesteaded in the 1870s, Canter-Berry Farms has been a part of the Auburn Valley's agricultural heritage for generations. The Metzler family purchased the farm in 1954, and the second generation began operating it in 1975, continuing a tradition of growing exceptional blueberries beneath the scenic backdrop of Mount Rainier.

“Went yesterday and it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. They provide buckets and a rope to hang the buckets around the neck. The blueberries are $4 per lb, payment is possible via card. The berries are on the smaller side but sweet. There is sufficient parking. Portable toilets are available on site.”.

“I visited this farm today to pick some berries. Even though late in the season, the berries were still plentiful! The farm worker showed me a good spot to pick from and I was able to fill my bucket practically standing in that spot! He encouraged me to toss soft or squishy berries on the ground and only take the firm berries. And to taste them while picking! The blueberries are very sweet and delicious! $4/lb. Be sure to bring containers to take your blueberries home. Will definitely be back!”.

“My parents used to take us kids here back in the 80's to pick blueberries. I have many memories of coming here with extended family and friends and playing around. They had dogs back in the day that we would play with while mom, dad and aunts and uncles would pick. Today my dad and i thought it would be fun to visit after decades and decades and let me tell you, the owner welcoming us "back" was poignantly pleasant. They have their own bees that they keep so they offer honey as well as contributing to the local ecosystem. The blueberries bushes themselves are nearly 70 years old and since the berries aren't sprayed with pesticides, you can safely eat a few as you pick. It was great to see the place and im looking forward to seeing more of what Canter-Berry Farms comes out with. What a beautiful day!”.
