Experience the Joy of Picking Your Own Blueberries

Now proudly owned by Wakulima USA, Canter-Berry Farms continues a cherished Auburn Valley farming tradition dating back to 1954.

Our U-Pick blueberry experience invites families, friends, and berry lovers from across the Puget Sound to slow down, explore the fields, and pick fresh, delicious blueberries straight from the bush.

Whether you're planning a family day out, looking for a fun summer activity in Auburn, or simply want to enjoy the taste of locally grown fruit, Canter-Berry Farms is the place to make summer memories.

Our Blueberries

Canter-Berry Farms grows eight varieties of cultivated Highbush blueberries, including plants that have been producing fruit since 1947.

Each variety has its own unique size and flavor—from mild and sweet to pleasantly tart, with one even offering a subtle spicy note. If you've never found a blueberry you loved, you just may not have tried the right variety.

If you've never tasted a fresh blueberry straight from the bush, you're in for a real treat! Nothing compares to the flavor of locally grown, sun-ripened blueberries picked at their peak.

Learn About Highbush Blueberries

Blueberries come in several types, each adapted to different growing regions. While the Northeast is known for Wild Blueberries and the South for Rabbiteye Blueberries, Washington State is ideal for growing Cultivated Highbush Blueberries.

Highbush blueberries thrive in the Pacific Northwest's climate and grow best in acidic, well-drained soil. While they need consistent moisture, they don't tolerate standing water. With good drainage and irrigation, they produce the large, flavorful berries we love.

Throughout the year, our blueberry bushes offer something beautiful—from delicate white blossoms in spring and abundant berries in summer to brilliant red foliage in autumn, making them as beautiful as they are productive.
